While we are the one comprehensive Royal Academy Ballet training school in San Diego, we are not limited by the syllabus training. We offer a large assortment of open ballet training including: partnering, pointe, and certified progressive techniques classes. We also provide great foundational classes in the areas listed below:
We offer 11 levels of ballet instruction, ranging from pre-primary (for 3 year olds) through intermediate, advanced, and adult classes. Most students complete each level and advance yearly in June. Classes give each student highly individualized placement and concentration of study.
Ballet classes consist of warm-ups, barre work, stretching, port de bras, adage, allegro, variations and theory, free work, ISTD and RAD syllabi. Tests over each level's French terminology are given during the classes.
We are the only dance studio in Chula Vista that is a member of the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. This international syllabus is taught in over 80 countries and to over 250,000 students, and only certified instructors can teach this methodology. Only teachers who have been through Royal Academy training are certified and may enter students for Royal Academy examinations. They are required to annually attend workshops to constantly inspire and improve their teaching. For more on examinations, click here.
